    Territory Sales Manager

    What you will enjoy doing:


    Developmental role to provide on the job training for development to a potential future promotion to a Sales Manager position.

    This individual will directly lead and manage a small team of 2-4 direct reports consisting of Industrial Sales Representatives and/or Sales Technicians, providing sales support to achieve the sales and profitability targets for a specified sales area.


    Principal responsibilities:

    • Ensure safe, respectful and environmentally sound business practices throughout the Sales organization
    • Develop and implement local sales strategies and campaigns that support the overall business objectives
    • Coach and lead a sales team to meet individual sales targets within their territories
    • Completes coaching plans, people maps, territory workload assessments, goal setting
    • Weekly review with Sales team of their activities, sales funnels, agenda’s, Linde Pro tools, and managing performance versus plan
    • Conducts performance management reviews
    • Negotiates product supply agreements both new and renewals
    • Actively support management of key customers within a defined geography
    • Maintains an existing sales territory with direct customer account management responsibilities
    • Collaborate with Retail Managers, Specialists (i.e. specialty gas, bulk, welding, cutting), operations, Customer Service, ect.
    • Establishes, adjusts, reviews and approves selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies

    • Basic financial acumen

    Required education:

    Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing preferred

    Required qualifications:

    Minimum 3 Years Industrial sales experience, demonstrated aptitude for leadership and team collaboration
